I was unfortunate enough to have my boat flown off the roofrack of my car & go down the road. It just bounced along the road. Good thing there was no one behind us. The kayak was tied on correctly, yes! But something went wrong still.. The strap may have slipped through or something. I dont want to go through that again, and i obviously need new straps. What & how long do you think should i get?

Whenever I take kayak out for a travel, i just strap it on using desperate measures straps for kayaks. Then I secure the kayaks with ratchet straps. Our T bars are also helping the kayaks & make them very secure.

Any strap would do good. Maybe you jus didn't tie them properly.. Next time, just try to tie another knot after you tighten the straps..
OR maybe it's simply about using a really good rope too! Haha
