How do you clean and store yours? For both interior & exterior, I just wash mine with soap & water. And i also try to avoid waxing it.
Can think of any other ways to properly maintain a kayak?

For kayak maintenance, the regular routine must be to wash the salt water off your kayaking equipment. Although it actually won't harm the meterial, but by taking off the salt water, you can be assured of easier operation for you paddle boats.
For cleaning mine, i only use a kitchen cleanser. And sometimes i apply baby oil to remove some stains. It's working...!!

After your kayaking tours, never forget to drain your paddle boats. And rinsing it with plain fresh water would be enough. Or if you want you can also use a mild soap to remove salt water. But do keep in mind that you MUST not use strong detergents to clean it with.. Ok? Hope this helps...

It's always best if you'll get a kayak cover. Then store it indoors. Never store it in a place where there's heat. If you the have the extra money, you can probably buy a kayak rack. But if you're in a budget, it's also good to just hang it in any solid structure.

Now we know that the best way of storing your kayak is to protect it from direct heat of the sun, bad weather, hull damage, etc.... But don't forget that before doing those, make sure that your kayak is totally clean & dry. Otherwise, mildew may develop and may cause your kayak to rot eventually. Check it inside if it's dry at all.
