I am thinking about upgrading my kayak early next year and i'm sstill not sure with what material i should use. Is wood better than i fiberglass? Initially, wood is lighter & it costs just about the same. I've tried riding them both & they're good, no issues on stability or performance or anything. But i only worry on wood maintenance. What are your advice?

Maintenance wise, wooden kayaks are much easier to handle than those made with fiberglass. And besides, the latter's materials are more prone to blisters if you store them in water for a long period of time. Not to mention that they are less expensive too!
