What do you think about building your own wood sea kayak? Well, i really really wanted to do it, only that i'd like to know first how much time & work are involved by doing so. But i honestly don't mind spending a long time for a project. Did you guys ever tried building your own sea kayak? How long did it take you do it & what materials did u get?

It depends on the amount of time & attention you are willing to give for the project. As for our case, more or less it took us 150 to 200 hours to complete building the sea kayak.

I can't answer you exactly since I haven't tried creating my own kayak. But I agree with him, it will really depend on the time and effort you are willing to give in doing it, even though you have all the materials but if you can't find time starting the project that will take you long.

As for wood kayak, of course you will need he basics: Wood & Canvas. The rest should be available at Walmart. Like drywall screws, epoxy resins, drywall screws, a fiberglass cloth, foam for you seat. And lastly, varnish & sandpaper for your finishing.
