last week, i got the chance to paddle again. and ooh. i saw how bad my fitness is and im planning to improve it soon. i was inspired by the others paddling around w/ good fitness condition. now im looking for some tips on fitness and training for freestyle & playboating, or for a simple work out to improve my body. if anyone here has tips, i would be very very greatful if ul share them with me :o

The only solution to that is to paddle as much as you can. No doubt you can get good quality aerobic workout w/ kayaking. Just paddle HARD. That way, your heart rate will go up, utilizing ur oxygen to burn fuel. And as a result, you'll have an instant & amazing aerobic workout. There! And dnt forget, utilizing the conventional aerobic exercise is definitely beneficial too!

Do a lot of sit ups, crunches, and other physical exercises to work on your abdomen. I also advise you to build up your stamina by jogging & walking regularly. Again, just PADDLE, like what he said. Do it regularly, have a happy & healthy heart..

I agree with them...just a regular physical fitness or exercise will really help you, especially when you don't paddle a lot. I think it will help you in maintaining your body to be ready for your next kayak adventure.
