World Surf Kayak Championships to Commence Oct. 19
WEDNESDAY, 17 OCTOBER 2007
The 2007 World Surf Kayak Championships are scheduled to start on October 19 and ends on October 28.
Organizers are tapping Bakio and Mundaka, both in Northern Spain, as the venue for the event. Bakio will be the primary surf site for the individuals and for the team event, if surf is poor, at Mundaka.
The schedule starts Saturday (October 20) with the preliminary rounds for people who have not surfed in a world championship. It would be followed by early rounds of individual event the next day. The succeeding two days (Oct. 22 and 23) will be set aside for the individual events. Team events will start on Wednesday (October 24) until the last day, if necessary.
